hi guys !! i hope winter break has treated everyone well. as we are entering the deepest moments of the winter season, i thought it would be appropriate to make a post about my favorite winter trends that i have been loving. i picked my top five favorite trends, and each section features a "save" and "splurge" option. i figured this would give everyone an opportunity to shop the trendiest pieces, whether you want to invest in a clothing item that may be pricier but last a long time, or choose a cheaper option that would def be wearable throughout this winter season. let me know if you agree with my thoughts on these trends or if you plan on purchasing/already own these pieces !!

1.) super long puffy coats

this is a trend i have seen throughout the past couple of years, but i feel like this winter season is the epitome of the long puffy jackets. i am obsessed with this trend as it brings opportunity for layering. i have seen people pair crop tops and sweats under the coat in a more street style manner, or pair a fancy outfit underneath. these jackets are very versatile while also being practical, as they are super warming.

my favorite "splurge" (left) is the aritzia TNA super puff long, $275. this jacket has been seen on the influencers and the hailey biebers alike. my "save" option (right) is the old navy long-line puffer jacket, $60. this coat is not as long as the aritzia coat, but still serves looks this winter season.

2.) neon beanies

i first saw this look on kacey musgraves when i saw her play in philly, and since that night i knew i had to get my hands on a neon beanie. these are essentials that can add a statement to any neutral outfit. plus they can easily hide that bad hair day that we all have every once in a while.

the "splurge" option can be purchased at free people, the game changer beanie, $20 (left). the "save" option can be purchased at target, $6 (right). btw, if the neon look is not for you, each of these links also offer neutral colored beanies as well.

3.) matching sweatsuit

as we all know, casual/athletic wear is as popular as ever. but there is something about the sweatsuit trend this winter that i am just obsessed with. i feel like a matching sweatsuit makes you look super put-together, but you are also extremely comfortable and warm.

the "splurge" option is created by my favorite lord, none other than scott disick. these talentless sweatshirts, $119 and sweatpants, $119 (left two) are pricy, but somehow manage to make a sweatsuit outfit look so luxury. the "save" option of similar sweatshirts, $28 and sweatpants, $23 can be purchased on pretty little thing (right two).

4.) super thick turtleneck sweater

i think these turtleneck sweaters are so trendy and cute. they can be layered with coats or dresses, or worn alone. either way, i feel like these sweaters can make your look just seem way more put together. plus, they are super warm.

the "splurge" option can be purchased on nordstrom, from the brand la ligne. this sweater, $350 (left) is oversized, has unique sleeves, and comes in a cute blue color. the "save" option from h&m, $35 (right) can be paired with many different pieces to create an adorable winter outfit.

5.) white chunky tennis shoe

the chunky tennis shoe trend took a while for me to get behind, but now i am obsessed. they can be worn with a fancy outfit to tone it down and make it more casual, or could be paired with a sweatsuit and long coat for an overall cute winter street style moment.

the only option for the "splurge" that i feel like can be chosen is the yeezy 500 tennis shoe, $240 (left). these shoes are super cute if you are willing to drop the money on them. the "save" option can also be found on pretty little thing, $26 (right). pretty little thing is definitely the site to go to if you are looking for anything kardashian-ish.
