about six months ago, my night time routine and overall sleep schedule was pretty much out of whack. it usually took me a good couple of hours once being in bed before I could actually fall asleep, as my brain was constantly running a mile a minute. I was going to bed super late at night, and then wasn't able to wake up the next morning because of that. I couldn't take it anymore. my terrible sleep routine was affecting my general life, and overall mental and physical health.
so, I invested in different products and lifestyle changes that completely changed my nights, for the better.

to begin, I always make sure my face is clean and makeup completely removed. I always use a thick night time moisturizer to keep my face hydrated at night. my go-to is always the glossier moon mask. it literally gives the appearance of an instant botox face-lift.
once my skincare is done, I turn on my essential oils diffuser and diffuse a lavender oil to ensure my room is the perfect atmosphere where I can completely relax. along side the diffuser, I turn on my Himalayan salt rock lamp. these are essential for a chill vibe, as they have been known to give the effects of boosting sleep, increasing serotonin levels in the brain, and just overall giving a calming energy to a room. you can purchase one on amazon for only $25 here.

next, I drink a cup of hot decaf green tea with some honey and a few drops of cured nutrition's cbd hemp mint oil. this stuff is amazing for deep relaxation. the reviews on the cured nutrition website all say the same things. it is perfect in helping alive anxiety, insomnia, pain and discomfort, and so so so much more. once I have my oil diffuser going and I drink my tea, I am literally able to fall asleep within twenty minutes.

after all of these different things, I am finally under my covers with a fan blowing on me, I am able to read, listen to a podcast, or watch netflix/hulu until sleep overtakes me. when it once used to take me a good few hours to go to sleep, it now takes me only twenty minutes. I used to dread night time, as it was honestly a stressor to me. but now, from the moment I wake up, I can't wait to get back into bed again and totally be able to relax.
i wish you all happy sleeping, and i hope this helped in some way.
until next time,
♡ megan.
